Prem Mandir

Description

Prem Mandir is a Hinduism temple in Vrindavan, Mathura, India. It is managed by Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, an international non-profit, spiritual, educational, a charitable trust. The complex is on a 54-acre place on the outskirts of Vrindavan and is devoted to Lord Radha Krishna and Sita Ram. The temple structure was built by the fifth Jagadguru, Kripalu Maharaj. Figures of Shri Krishna and his followers describing important events surrounding the Lord's being cover the main temple.

History

The foundation stone was laid by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj in the closeness of a thousand devotees on 14 January 2001. It took 1000 artists about 12 years to construct the complex. The Vrindavan site was built by Kripalu Ji Maharaj, whose main ashram was at Vrindavan. He gave the gift of love to Shri Vrindavan Dham.

Important Information

Attraction

  • Prem Mandir is built entirely of Italian marble. The whole dimensions of the temple including its flag is 125 ft. high, 190 ft. long and the 128 ft. wide raised platform serves as the site of the two-storeyed white monument.
